They have special questions that they can ask during each phase and they can also say goodnight to the moon. There are also some particularly cute new interactions for toddlers. During certain moon phases, Mermaids have less hydration loss, Vampires recharge power slower, Spellcasters cast spells more successfully, and Aliens receive a special moodlet while moonbathing (which is also now a thing for all Sims Teen and older)! Occult Sims will find that the moon now plays an extra role in how their powers behave. Are you curious when the next full moon is coming around? The calendar has also been updated to display upcoming moon phases based on the previously mentioned phase length settings. This information will also display the current phase. Yes, the moon phase will affect your Sim! Each phase grants a special gameplay boost that can be viewed by hovering over the moon icon at the bottom center of the screen. If you want, you can also make a phase permanent or turn off moon effects. With default settings, the moon will change each night, but you can change the length of the phases in the Environment section of Game Options. In total, there are eight phases: New Moon, Waxing Crescent, First Quarter, Waxing Gibbous, Full Moon, Waning Gibbous, Third Quarter, and Waning Crescent. From now on, you’ll notice that the moon in the sky changes over time, which affects how much light is given off at night in almost every neighborhood across all packs. A new “elder” sims interaction - “reminisce” where sims can reflect on the “good old times” while getting comfy in their new rocking chairs which will also be included in the pack. A few things were talked about in more detail an updated Create-A-Sim User Interface - so our sims can actually wear their knitted creations. There was also a really cool blog post from SimGuruConor, who is working on the new Knitting Community Pack. I’ve already voted - So get in there quick! This week a new Survey to vote for our Community Pack has been released, and you can vote HERE - this time we get to choose the Title of the Stuff Pack and the Icon they will use for the pack. This is where we can influence the content and look of one of the new packs for The Sims 4. If you’ve been paying attention to previous posts, you will know that there is a new Community Pack in the works. A new patch has updated our games this month, with a few fixes for bugs.
